My Journey

I have overcome obstacles that no one should ever have to go through…

My brother, who served in Vietnam, committed suicide when I was just nine years old. The shock left me with severe PTSD, and I coped by destroying my body and mind with bulimia.

I was at death’s door emotionally and physically. Although the bulimia ended when I was 22, it did not heal the highs and lows in my moods and behavior, which lasted until I was in my late 30s.

At the age of 19, I faced a major car accident that left me with serious health issues. I was searching for a new way forward, but it took time to find it. On my 39th birthday, this path started to reveal itself as I was gifted a weekend retreat with a spiritual healer.

That's when things radically changed.

I learned how to meditate, and this practice deeply resonated with my soul. I listened to many meditations on cassettes (Deepak Chopra was one of my favorites)!

I had my five children to take care of, ages 7-14, but I was determined to get this meditation thing down. I would sneak in meditation while waiting for them to finish karate or football. It became a lifelong commitment and launched my desire to get certified in fitness at age 30. I had been working out since the age of 16, but now I was doing it with a healthy mindset.

After that, I became certified in Hatha yoga, where again, I felt that same deep connection that I had experienced from meditation.

It felt right.

I realized that fitness is just one part of the equation. Mind, body, and heart have to be in balance to achieve optimum health. This led me to discover how to work out for pure health and not just for aesthetics.

Using nutrition, fitness, and yoga as my medicine, I've kept my PTSD at bay. Using nutrition, I’ve maintained stable moods. I’m so grateful for this precious gift, and it brings tears to my eyes even now, knowing the immense impact these modalities have had on my life.

It gave me my life back.

Now, my life mission is to share this gift with others who are searching for a new holistic path forward. My calling is empowering each client to realize the strength they embody, not only in their body but in their mind.

I'm a registered nurse, personal fitness trainer, nutritional specialist, yoga teacher, Reiki Master, and Mama of five and grandmother of three. I bring all of that to the table to support you.

These days, I'm thriving well beyond what I thought was possible, and I'm here to show you that you can too.

I'm here to tell you, "You're going to be okay."

I'm here to guide you in strengthening your mind, body, and heart, so you can take better care of yourself and feel good in your body.

I'm here to work with you to develop a strong inner core of well-being so you’re better equipped to deal with the challenges that arise every day—spiritually, health, family, and marriage.

With nourishing practices to consistently move you toward true health.
